This is a varied customer focused and administrative role in a busy environment. You will be monitoring and raising repairs works following emergency call out and communicating with the team and customers via telephone and email to book in operatives work. The role will also involve assisting with the administration for our building materials contract.

This is a varied customer focused and administrative role in a busy environment. You will be monitoring and raising repairs works following emergency call out and communicating with the team and customers via telephone and email to book in operatives work. The role will also involve assisting with the administration for our building materials contract. This involves monitoring materials ordered for repair works and ensuring they are delivered on time, then organising those repairs with the customers. It will also involve processing of operatives van stocks and ensuring their materials on the van are replenished weekly.

There will be some involvement with our external contractors in relation to obtaining updates on repairs passed to them and updating on our computer systems as well as taking minutes from meetings with our external contractors. As part of this role it will also be administrative support for our planning team in relation to making phone calls, sending letters and it will also involve supporting our planning team during busy periods or periods of annual leave on the planning.



You’ll need:

  • Experience in dealing with contractors and planning of direct labour works
  • Must be computer literate with proficient use of Mircosoft Office
  • Understanding of H&S in a working environment and being able to identify risks
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, deliver to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to provide performance reports for KPI and SLA’s for external contractors
  • Maintain and update systems with accurate information
  • The ability to work effectively with colleagues across the business, and with external stakeholders.
  • Fantastic communication skills and enjoying working with people
