WISH London Winter Newsletter

The rain subsided and the sun shone for the WISH Golf Day which was held at the prestigious Blackheath Golf Club on the 13th September. WISH was delighted to see over 40 enthusiastic women put their skills to the test and receive instruction from professionals in the principles of playing golf with the additional benefits of putting their new learned skills to the test on the driving range and putting green.

WISH golf day

After golf, an enjoyable lunch was had by all where the Chair, Erica Carras, welcomed everyone and provided information about WISH.

We would like to thank everyone for attending this great day of golf and networking. We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback received with many attendees commenting that it was so nice to have a golf day where it did not matter if you had ever played golf before and asked if there would be another Golf Day next year.

We are happy to confirm that due to the success of this Golf Day WISH has booked the Blackheath Golf Club again for the 12th September 2018.
We look forward to welcoming everyone again next year for a second round of golf!

Behavioural insights event

We held our behavioural insights event on the 5th October, sponsored by Winckworth Sherwood LLP, which did not disappoint attendees.
Over 75 people registered to attend the event which was held at the lavish office of Winckworth Sherwood near London Bridge. The proceedings kicked off with a glass of prosecco and networking followed by an introduction to Winckworth Sherwood who provide a wide range of legal services to a diverse range of businesses, not for profit organisations and private individuals.
Introductions were followed by an engaging presentation by Anna O’Halloran from Just Housing Group on the topic of “Behavioural Insights and why we behave the way we do”. The mood in the room was buoyant and vibrant with many guests participating with the presenter who answered all their questions.

When the presentation finished, attendees were given the opportunity to discuss further with the presenter personal experiences and how to implement the information learnt, while others enjoyed a delicious buffet and a variety of drinks.
The event was well received. Feedback from the event included:
“Great organisation and speaker, fantastic event, lovely people.”
“The speaker was very interesting and informative, the food was good and the wine went down a treat!”
