We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our fantastic Finance division. This is a new role within A2Dominion and will be working alongside the Property leadership team and the wider financial reporting team to help the Property business area run an efficient, value for money operation

  • Salary: £79,603 - £83,688
  • Contract: 12-month fixed term contract, Full time, 35 hours per week

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our fantastic Finance division. This is a new role within A2Dominion and will be working alongside the Property leadership team and the wider financial reporting team to help the Property business area run an efficient, value for money operation. The successful candidate will get to understand the drivers of cost and revenue in the business and will work with the business to understand which levers to pull. They’ll influence operational and strategic decision making and provide analysis of financial and non-financial data to provide greater insight on value for money and efficiencies, as well as helping the team to be more commercially savvy and cost conscious.

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Partner with the Property leadership to help make informed strategic decisions and to deliver the performance targets for all their business areas, including the repairs joint venture operation
  • Work with Property leadership to provide financial decision support for initiatives
  • Use financial information to inform business decisions and challenge managers at all levels on costs, assumptions, and process to ensure the business is operating in a professional and commercial manner and delivering value for money for customers
  • Contribute to senior management meetings, including the Pyramid joint venture meetings, including spurring people to action through the presentation of financial and business performance
  • Promote and embed a value for money culture across the business by systematically benchmarking across the best in class within and outside sector
  • Work with the Financial Planning and analysis team to understand the relationship between the longer-term plan for property investment vs the cost of responsive repairs in the short term
  • Be a critical friend to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of performance, ensuring consistent and justifiable assumptions
  • Report risks and opportunities to performance in a timely manner and work with the business to identify robust recommendations to get back to target
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the budget and forecast with analysis and business understanding
  • Act as the bridge between Finance and Property – fostering understanding and helping Finance and Property get the information they need from each other.

 


More about you:

 

  • Significant experience of finance business partnering, with stories to tell of how you’ve worked with the business to improve the bottom line
  • Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar
  • Sector experience in a housing association, property management company or other business with the dynamics of a field workforce
  • Able to challenge strong stakeholders, while forming a great relationship with them for the good of the organisation
