We’re looking for a new Executive Director of Property to be part of this journey. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our existing portfolio of 12,000 homes are safe, decent, and well-maintained while driving growth through strategic partnerships and developments.

We’re looking for a new Executive Director of Property to be part of this journey. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our existing portfolio of 12,000 homes are safe, decent, and well-maintained while driving growth through strategic partnerships and developments. You will also champion the implementation of sustainability principles, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality, sustainable housing and vibrant communities.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Asset Management: Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to ensure the sustainability, efficiency, and performance of LHP’s housing portfolio.
  • Oversee property maintenance, budget management, and the integration of innovative technologies to enhance service delivery.

 

Development: Growth and Development:

  • Lead the planning and execution of development projects, ensuring alignment with LHP’s strategic goals.
  • Oversee stakeholder collaboration, funding acquisition, and project delivery to expand LHP’s housing portfolio effectively.

 

Compliance and Safety: Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all properties meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee audits, manage compliance policies, and lead incident investigations to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

 

Sustainability: Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Integrate eco-friendly practices into property management and development.
  • Lead projects that reduce LHP’s carbon footprint, secure funding for sustainability initiatives, and contribute to LHP’s environmental goals.

 

Leadership and Culture: · Team Leadership:

  • Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture within the Property directorate.
  • Provide collective leadership on the Executive team, drive business change initiatives, and represent LHP externally to enhance the organisation’s reputation.

 

Facilities Management: · Operational Oversight:

  • Manage the operational effectiveness of LHP’s offices, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and supportive of a productive work environment.

 

About You:

We want to build a senior team ready to lead people through change and demonstrate the behaviours and values that make social housing such a rewarding sector to work in. So, we are looking someone who will exemplify openness, visibility and collaboration, with a focus on coaching and developing your team and others in our organisation. You will be a strategic, commercially-astute leader with a proven track record in asset management and property services at a senior level. You will have substantial experience managing large budgets for service and capital investment and a strong ability to build and sustain effective external partnerships.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualification in property, surveying, development, etc.
  •  Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
