Home Group

 

  • Hybrid working, based at One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne 2 days per week, with home working the rest.
  • Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) Circa £65,000 per annum, negotiable based on skills and experience, plus car allowance of £5,000 per annum and great benefits including Health Cash Plan!

Reporting to Vic our Director of People, you’ll lead a team of specialists dedicated to ensuring every new joiner has a fantastic experience from their first interaction as a candidate, through to getting their induction right and passing their probation.

A typical day as Head of Resourcing & Onboarding:

  • Leading a team to develop innovative recruitment strategies, ensuring we attract and retain top talent.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process, from attraction to selection, ensuring an excellent candidate experience
  • Designing and implementing cutting-edge onboarding programmes that make new hires feel welcome, prepared and ready to excel in their new roles.
  • Collaborating with HR colleagues to promote inclusion, equity, diversity, and belonging in all our practices.
  • Using key metrics to drive continuously improvement of the service we deliver, presenting key updates to senior leadership.
  • Using your knowledge of employment law, compliance, and sponsorship, you empower your team to support our managers to deliver best practices in attraction, selection, onboarding, and induction.
  • Together, you'll create a welcoming and inclusive environment for new colleagues.

You bring:

  • Extensive experience in leading high-performing HR teams within complex, regulated environments.
  • Proven track record in improving resourcing services, with expertise in both high-volume and specialised recruitment.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, and induction, with a passion for breaking down barriers for underrepresented groups.
  • Strong leadership and excellent people management skills, inspiring your team to achieve excellence within a warm, high-energy culture focused on outstanding results.
  •  Degree-level qualification in HR / CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience, with a passion for continuous learning and developing your skills.
  • You bring a dynamic expertise in leveraging new legislation, cutting-edge technology, and innovative tools.
  • As an enthusiastic innovator, you’re always eager to identify opportunities to enhance our recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  • Your passion ensures our services are not just efficient and inclusive, but also constantly evolving to support all colleagues, including those who are deskless!

Job details:

  • Hybrid working from our brilliant new offices at One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle city centre for a minimum of 2 days per week.
  • Full time, 37.5 hpw, flexible working hours (we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you).
