You will ensure that the innovations in housing, wellbeing and asset management are used to ensure that customers live in healthy homes that are fit for the future. This is a highly collaborative role, driving transformation through close working with external partners and a broad range of colleagues, using your interpersonal skills and kudos as a subject matter expert to draw people them together for a common goal. You will make measurable improvements in life outcomes and ensure customer’s homes are healthy by being energy efficient, free from damp and mould and other hazards.

  • Location: London/ Hybrid this role can be based outside London

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of developing and delivering innovative delivery models that improve outcomes for customers.
  • Knowledge of Healthy Homes and social housing operating environment
  • Can cut through the noise and understand genuine opportunities worth taking the risk of time and resource to develop.
  • An understanding of the interplay between building physics and the wider built environment, health, wellbeing and asset management and customer service.
  • Who can translate that in to implemented processes through structured transformation using your excellent project management skills.

Role Profile Role requires you to:

  • Work collaboratively with regional, national and internal stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver projects to improve the wellbeing of residents through improved housing assets.
  • Ensure that innovation is translated to organizational change, service improvements and increasing standards through process development, standard setting, embedding working practices and delivery models.
  • Leading on transformational collaborative work across areas such as : Damp and Mould Indoor Air Quality
  • Improved energy efficiency
  • Improving the affordability of housing running costs
  • Climate resilience – overheating, flood
  • Hazard prevention including light and noise
  • Balancing crime prevention and open, accessible communities and homes
  • Act as lead for external best practice and working groups, bringing in knowledge and actively piloting and developing new ways of working.
  • By work in collaboration to share knowledge and overcome barriers to development and implementation. eg :Disruptive Innovators, Network Asset Management, Improvement Partnership, Healthy Homes Hub ,Connected Places Catapult
  • Put in place a programme to deliver on the Healthy Homes Pledge, linking with multiple teams with overlapping aims.
  • Ensure that we are always innovating and undertaking the right programmes of work, adopting the right technologies and adhering to the right standards to put our customers first.
  • Have a great understanding of what manufacturers, and suppliers can offer to Riverside including professional services, technology and change programmes.
  • Identify, apply for, and maximise external grant funding or pro bono support.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively including Asset Management colleagues and third-parties, providing advice and support and building constructive working relationships to effectively deliver the Group’s Asset Management Strategy.
  • Work closely with all relevant teams to ensure processes are operating effectively.
  • Use data such as that from environmental performance monitors, overlaid with other datasets to determine current property condition and routes to improvement.
  • Embed use of data, including analysis of real time data and warning flags, across the business to achieve the Healthy Homes aims.
  • Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service.
  • Ensure that data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

 

Person specification Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Essential Experience of developing and delivering innovative delivery models that improve outcomes for customers.
  • Knowledge of Healthy Homes Adept at working in a customer focused environment and engaging with customers and colleagues providing advice and support in how to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Understanding of risk management, property management and property related compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record in developing skills and capacity to deliver change Experience of developing and embedding processes
  • A network of subject related contacts
  • Working knowledge of key issues impacting residents of social housing
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and good practice relating to social housing.
  • Experience in the building industry, ideally working within sustainability, social housing or asset management.
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Effective stakeholder management, both internally and external to the organisation, including the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
  • Customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels within the business.
  • Results driven with strong analytical skills, including the ability to critically analyse complex information, and experience of providing meaningful management information.
  • Desirable Line management experience.
  • A relevant academic qualification
  • Experience of delivering Healthy Homes initiatives.
