This event is an excellent opportunity to commemorate, mark and celebrate South Asian cultures, histories and communities whilst keeping in with this year’s theme, 'Free to Be Me'. You will also have the chance to network with inspirational like-minded professionals.

Gavinder is a specialist social housing lawyer with over 20 years experience in housing management litigation, particularly injunctions, possession claims, closure orders and high profile complex ASB matters.  Gavinder acts for Local Authorities and Housing Associations across the UK and has been involved in a number of leading Court of Appeal decisions.  Gavinder is an acknowledged expert in her field and highly admired by her peers and leading legal directories.

Hony is a highly regarded executive in the Social Housing sector, with nearly 3 decades of extensive experience.  She has an impressive track record with both small and large housing providers, having served in various executive and non-executive roles, including as Managing Director.

As the Founder and CEO of Hony Premlal Consultancy, she offers executive mentoring, coaching and housing consultancy services. Additionally, Hony serves as the Chair for Eldon Housing and WISH London, and she holds board positions with SCLT and Trinity Housing.  She is also a Regional Group Member of the CIH.  Hony is passionate about authentic leadership, diversity and women’s empowerment, often speaking on these tops as a keynote speaker.

Kuljit Bhogal, Barrister, KC, Judge, Author

Kuljit is a leading public law barrister.  She became a KC in 2023 in recognition of her excellence as an advocate. She covers all aspects of public law and has a special interest in managing behaviour in public spaces. She devised the nation’s first ever buffer zone to provide protection to those seeking to access abortion care and is author of Cornerstone on Anti-Social Behaviour, now in its second edition. She also sits as a part time judge hearing criminal cases in the Crown Court in her role as a Recorder.

Hannah Litt, Award Winning JEDI (Justice, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) / UK Top 50 Influential Muslims in Europe/Resourcing Leader

Hannah is an award-winning social justice activist and a seasoned leader in justice, equality, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.  Hannah’s experience spans industries such as Automotive, Construction, Retail, Financial Services and Technology where she has worked with some of the largest organisations and dynamic start-ups.  Hannah’s unique approach to anti-racism and decolonisation drives transformation wherever she goes.

As a South Asian, Muslim woman from the East African diaspora with ADHD, OCD and hidden disabilities, Hannah combines lived experiences with strategic knowledge in people led-functions and employee experience.  Hannah is committed to making the workplace more inclusive and equitable for neurodivergent people of the Global Majority by creating awareness and driving change in systems where they are most impacted but often excluded from the conversation.

Hannah has featured and contributed to books, podcasts, panels and keynotes on intersectional neurodiversity, disability antiracism and inclusive workplace cultures.  She is excited to be working on her debut book and preparing to launch an eagerly awaited podcast.

Meena Kumari, Director & Founder of H.O.P.E Training & Consultancy

Meena is the founder of H.O.P.E Training & Consultancy, a specialise training provider and consultant, leading on sexual violence, domestic abuse, forced marriages, so called honour abuse, FGM, dowry related abuse, leadership, anti-racist practice and safeguarding.  Meena has over 18 years experiences of leading gender-based services and delivering training and consultancy within this framework.  Meena has a great passion and commitment towards campaigning, raising awareness and working with professionals to ensure that domestic abuse, sexual violence and safeguarding is always at the forefront.
