London WISH are holding a panel discussion on Women on Boards. This will be a great opportunity to hear from some top Board members on their experiences and also learn how to prepare for Board membership. There will also be an opportunity for informal networking.

This will be a great opportunity to hear from our panellists about their experiences and also to learn how to prepare for Board membership.

Our Speakers

 

Elly Hoult Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive at Peabody Trust and incoming President of the Chartered Institute of Housing
Elly is Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive at Peabody Trust, responsible for repairs and maintenance, neighbourhood management, tenancy services, data and customer contact across Peabody's property portfolio providing 108,000 homes to more than 200,000 residents. Elly has over 25 years of experience in the housing sector, working her way up from supported housing officer to executive level roles. Elly is incoming President of the Chartered Institute of Housing, chairs the National Housing Federation Knowing our Homes group and is leading the London Coalition skills initiative. She is currently studying for an MSc in Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing in Buildings at UCL.


Carol Drummond Director of the Housing Executive

Carol Drummond is a founding Director of The Housing Executive, created to focus on management positions within the housing sector, with a mission to identify talent and build relationships that last careers. Carol has over 25 years of management and recruitment experience in both the public and private sectors. Carol is committed to empowering, supporting and developing individuals.  Prior to founding the Housing Executive, Carol was Director of Recruitment for HERA, one of the first specialist social housing recruitment companies.


Pamela Leonce Career Coach for Stowhill Career Coaching and Business Consultancy

Pamela has extensive leadership and governance experience across housing, health and criminal justice. She has been a housing association Chair, Chair of committees, and a non-executive Director.  Her previous roles include Sustainability Advisor to the Mayor of London and Board member of Barclays Foundation. 
Pamela is currently an Improvement and Assurance  Panel member for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Governance; a Board member at Midland Heart,  and  Local Space where she chairs the Governance and Renumeration Committee.  
Pamela is also a partner at the executive search firm Saxton Bampfylde and the author of ‘Getting that Job with Confidence’, which she wrote for individuals who are ready to take the next step in their career.


Sangita Shah Non Executive Chair for Kinovo Group

Sangita has extensive experience in corporate finance, journalism and senior consultancy. Sangita has a wealth of AIM listed and public market experience and has held numerous senior roles within blue chip organisations, including Unilever, Mars, Ernst & Young and KPMG. Sangita is a former board director of Swindon Town FC and a past President of the Chartered Institute of Journalists. She has consulted to a number of organisations that include HM Cabinet Office, HSBC and other blue chip companies.
Sangita is also a regular consultant to a number of companies and to HM Cabinet Office. Sangita is a qualified accountant and a frequent keynote Chair and speaker in forums for the Windsor Leadership Trust and in the past, the European Parliament and European School of Management
