A warm welcome to the summer WISH newsletter. How great it is to finally have lots of sunshine and just like the bees in our gardens, we’ve been busy, busy here at WISH HQ making improvements to our membership offer.
Over the last six months we’ve been listening to your views and looking at ways to evolve our offer so that members can access more networking events while getting better value for money.
We know the importance that individuals and organisations place on empowering women to thrive in the workplace – and for many of you WISH has been an important part of this journey, connecting you with mentors, colleagues, and friends.
That’s why we’re simplifying our approach so your WISH membership leaves you feeling:
We’re making our online events open to anyone and everyone working in an organisation with a Corporate or Corporate Plus membership and providing more opportunities to attend our regional, in-person events.
Until now, you’ve had to pre-register individual email addresses to access events. Not any longer. Members will now be able to access all of our events through a registered domain name – making access easier for everyone.
We’re also making changes to the way our popular Jobs Board operates – with a more coordinated approach on social media encouraging people to check out the Board on a specific day each week. And we’re planning to team up with other networks – such as the Women in Fire Safety and Women in Property – to help attract the best talent into the housing sector.
And we’re introducing, within the next few months, a new benefit of membership, the opportunity for all members to access ‘Career Conversations’. This is a bite-size mentoring offer, providing all members with the opportunity to have an hour-long conversation with another woman from the network who has faced a similar career challenge or issue. Choosing from a comprehensive list of subjects, we will facilitate a confidential conversation with someone else from the network who has overcome a similar challenge or issue.
AND, all of these extra benefits come at little or no extra cost. Furthermore, we’re also freezing prices for three years (based on payment upfront). All of the changes will be communicated via the website/socials over the next week.
