Inspiring Event Held in beautiful Selkirk by WISH Scotland

WISH Scotland hosted an exceptional event in scenic Selkirk, thanks to our hosts, Scottish Borders Housing Association. The room was filled to capacity as attendees gathered to learn from a lineup of remarkable speakers and enjoy a delightful afternoon tea under a sunlit sky.

The event featured Maria Lyle from the Scottish Borders Housing Association, who discussed her commitment to continuous improvement in the housing sector. Maria shared the association's impressive achievements over the past 21 years, highlighting the positive impact on communities and the challenges overcome along the way.

Lynsey Hutchinson from the University of Stirling captivated the audience with insights into the innovative work of the Dementia Services Development Centre. Her enthusiasm for design that enhances the quality of life for people living with dementia was truly inspiring.

Julia Mulloy, CEO of the Scottish Borders Housing Association, engaged in a thought-provoking conversation with the day's chair, Catherine Louch. Julia shared her inspirational career journey and encouraged attendees to challenge the status quo by asking "why not?" when faced with obstacles, to drive positive change for tenants and communities.

The event was a tremendous success, leaving attendees motivated and empowered. WISH Scotland extends heartfelt thanks to the Scottish Borders Housing Association for their hospitality, to all the incredible speakers, and to everyone who joined.

We've also have some new board members! Read more here.

Mark your calendars for the next event on 19 September in Glasgow.
