WISH Midlands Spring News 2020

WISH Midlands have been very busy recruiting new board members to strengthen their team. Hear about their recent events...

WISH Midlands Spring News

In December WISH Midlands hosted a hugely successful Christmas drinks event thanks to RSM, Birmingham, with an amazing panel of guests, hosted by Alison Inman. Around 50 members and guests heard leading women from our sector share their stories of leadership. It was an inspirational and entertaining session for all.

We’ve also been very busy recruiting new board members to strengthen our team, as we look to grow our Midlands member list, and we’re delighted to have Ruth Jennings – Head of Care and Support, MTVH, Kat Robinson – Community Housing Officer, Accord and Lesley Westwood – Finance Director, Housing Partners now on the WISH Midlands Board.

And finally, we kicked-off 2020 by inviting members and guests to reflect on themselves with a session titled ‘Personal Brand’. The session, hosted by Mags Porter – Executive Coach from The Connectives, was fantastic. It was a great opportunity for members to think about how they can be the best they can be. Lots of note-taking, but lots of laughter too!

Coming up in the next few months we have a public speaking event hosted by Janine Green, an award-winning specialist in community safety and anti-social behaviour, our summer networking drinks event and an event dedicated to social media.
