Michelle Greg, Director of Housing Services at Yorkshire Housing and WISH board member hosted a great interactive session where people were encourage to share their experiences, develop their own plans for success and genuinely use the people in the room to help them get there. Plus our notorious cupcakes always bring a smile!
Feedback from the day included:
“It’s always good to listen to inspirational stories and that’s what I have done today – lots of food for thought”
“Lovely to meet so many talented people”
“Fantastic time”
Guest Speakers included:
Angela Perry, Assistant Chief Executive (Asset Management) at Incommunties who shared her personal and professional journey into senior roles within housing and construction. Delegates were entertained and enthused by her story of finding direction in life and career leading her to be the woman she is today. Great advice on how important worklife balance and family are plus not everything is left to fate “the harder you work the luckier you get” and most importantly “be brave!”
Jo Tracey, Head of HR and Organisational Development at Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing who shared her heartfelt story of how you can learn from your mistakes, how “everyone can teach you something, so take the chances people give you and sometimes you need to shut up and wind your neck in!” Jo also shared her ‘top tips’ on how to always be honest, don’t sweat the small stuff and most of all ”be kind!”
We would like to give a special thank you to our speakers, Yorkshire Housing for hosting and our delegates for making the event a great success, we are grateful for their support.
