Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives in Lincolnshire? Are you looking to start your non-executive career? We have an exciting opportunity for Two Trainee Non-Executive Directors

The perfect candidate should have a strong ability to connect with our customers, prioritising their needs in every decision. We are particularly interested in individuals who possess either direct lived experience within our Lincolnshire communities or have personal experience with social housing.

As a Trainee Non-Executive Director, you’ll be enrolled onto the Housing Diversity Network (HDN) Board Excellence Certification Programme.

This programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, and confidence so you can be a future LHP Non-Executive Director. You’ll also benefit from going through the programme with other trainees form other housing associations, allowing you to share experiences and thrive in a group learning environment.

What will I be required to do as a Trainee Board member?

  • Fully commit to the two year Board Excellence Certification Programme (This can be found on Page 11 of the downloadable Pack)
  • Prepare for, observe and participate in six Board Meetings per year
  • Attend approximately four Committee meetings per year
  • Join up to four strategy away days per year

Board meetings are usually held at 4pm for approximately two hourThese are a mixture of virtual and in person meetings, usually at one of our offices to build effective relationships

Committee meetings are usually held virtually at 4pm for approximately two hours, with one in person Committee Development Day session per year.

Quarterly meetings coincide with a Strategy Day for opportunities for customer and community engagement, learning opportunities, and building effective relationships. This would include an overnight stay.
