3180 Independent Living Scheme Manager - Orbit


Based at one of our Extra care schemes in Norwich, we have a role for a Scheme Manager. We are looking for a customer focused individual to oversee the running of this scheme. You will build up effective relationships with the Independent Living and wider team to provide excellent housing and support for the customers based there. This role will have limited involvement in the out of hours rota.

The role:

Based at one of our Extra care schemes in Norwich, we have a role for a Scheme Manager.

We are looking for a customer focused individual to oversee the running of this scheme. You will build up effective relationships with the Independent Living and wider team to provide excellent housing and support for the customers based there. This role will have limited involvement in the out of hours rota. This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

 

What you'll achieve:

  • Work with older and vulnerable groups to promote an independent lifestyle.
  • Take responsibility for housing provision, compliance, and safety checks.
  • Work with the customers to ensure wellbeing and engagement.
  • Build effective working relationships with wider team, contractors and across the business.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

 

What you'll bring - Essential skills:

  • Housing experience and background in dealing with diverse customer groups
  • Understanding of compliance and working to company policy
  • Relationship building experience both internally and externally.
  • Good PC skills – MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage challenging situations and resolve issues

 

Desirable skills:

  • CIH level 3 or 4 in Housing Practice, equivalent qualification or the desire to undertake a professional qualification.
